I have Clarke (Worcestershire, England - 1800s) and Williams (Montgomeryshire/Powys, Wales), both quite common names however.

Woohoo, Apple! Your Ruby Camfield is the Featured Page this week on WeRelate's home page, how cool is that!

Hi Nikki,
My Clarke's are all New England 1700's but who knows, our lines may cross when we both carry them back further.

T.K.,
WOW! Thanks for the heads up, I might have missed it. I didn't think anyone else ever looked at my pages there!

Apple

I may have separate comments for the surnames in my database.

I do have several Berrys in NY starting in 1856 but they are in Manhattan and the Bronx - Alonzo Berry and Alonzo Berry, Jr.

Thomas MacEntee said...

And I have several of the Lewis clan from Lewis Co. New York starting with William Perry Lewis b. 1848

Charley "Apple" Grabowski said...

Hi Thomas,
I descend from William Lewis 1610-1671 and Amy Weld through their great-grandson Ebenezer Lewis b 1705 and Hannah Gill. It's possible that the Lewis' of Lewis County are also from this line but I don't have William Perry Lewis in my file.

My Berry's didn't leave England until the 1870's. Berry is such a common name I have no idea if they'd connect or not.

Apple,

My, what a lot of surnames you have, little red riding hood. I have a cousin who married an Appleberry, which is a nice combo for you, I think!

Gini said...

Hi Apple, I just viewed your surnames, my ex is a Ewing. We have a daugther together so she is a true Ewing! I have not researched the Ewing name much but I know they are from Ireland, could be English further back but not sure. Could be some relations in there!

Hi Gini,

I;d love to find a connection! This is a line I have very little information on.
