Apple, What a good way to thank your readers. I might just have to use this on my own blog.
I think you started something Apple! I too think this is a wonderful way to thank those that take the time to stop by and leave us a comment. If you don't mind, I may have to do this on my blog too! Thank you Apple for the shout out.
This is a great way to thank those that leave comments. You have started something!!
I think you may have started something! It is a nice way to recognize people that take the time to comment on your blog. On a side note, when I view your blog, the Images of Yesteryear box covers up the first few lines of your post because it sticks out into the part where your writing begins. It could just be my computer too though!
What a lovely idea. I enjoy following your blog!
Once upon a time, a very long time ago, the geneabloggers of the land spent lots of time commenting and encouraging each other. This is a little experiment to see if I can encourage comments here and across genea-land.
I actually stole the idea from two of my favorite bloggers. The first, a school administrator, who doesn't blog much any more :( did what he called "Weekend Roundup" and linked to a post of each of the people that had left a comment during the week.
The second is our very own Tipper of Blind Pig & the Acorn. She calls it "Spreading the Love" and she gives away a nice prize away each month.
It seems that we don't comment nearly as much as we once did. I think what has actually happened is that with the blog explosion the comments are just much more spread out. I know I leave as many or more comments each week as I did 2 or 3 years ago and always feel badly that I don't have time to leave more.
This is a really great idea, Apple, but how do you find the time to do everything you do with your blog AND research your family? I've been wondering about this in relation to lots of gen bloggers. Maybe I'm just getting slower as I get older.... You have a great blog. Thanks for mentioning me and my blog.
Sure looks like you started something here Apple, whether you stole the idea or not, it is a great one! A wonderful way of thanking those who leave comments!
Thank you, Apple! I absolutely would not miss your blog, and when I read it, I find myself saying things anyway ("Oh, that is so true!" or "That just happened to me!"), so I figure I might as well leave the spoken comment in written form!
Thanks for the shoutout, Apple!
Thank you!! You know I love the linky love : ) Hope you're having a good day!
Apple, I am so sorry for not writing sooner, but I was involved with something else. A nice surprise to be mentioned, and I thank you very much. I always love what you write.
That is a great idea! Thank you for the "link love". Now, if I can just get myself posting and reading posts. I've been busy on other things lately.
Thanks for the link :) It's a great idea.
