Mom, Grandma and Me

Well at least I think that is me! If it is, then Mom must have been pregnant with my brother. I don't recognize anything in the background but I'm guessing that that is Grandpa's car and we were at my grandparent's camp at Otisco Lake. I was born in December and since I'm standing I guess it must have been a warm fall day. Take a look at Mom's outfit! Her apron says "Week End Decorate" and Color" so perhaps she was dressed to do some painting. Grandma was well turned out as she always was. Even in a dress I still look like the little tomboy that I was. We were all wearing something on our heads and we all three had on white ankle socks.

The best part of the picture for me is Mom's smile! Maybe one of these when I visit I'll show Mom the picture and she'll actually remember when it was taken.

This was written for the 10th edition of Smile for the Camera: Costume, to be hosted by footnote Maven at Shades of the Departed.
