Events of 1896
My family seemed fairly isolated from US and world events around them. Here are just a few events from 1896 that they may or may not have been aware of.

So interesting to see what was going on in the world at that time. I bet most folks were isolated from the events unless they lived near them. Such a different time now-if you watch the news you can find out things that happened on the other side of the world-with in the last hour.
I think a lot of my ancestors were probably isolated from many events that happened in the world due to living in rural areas.
