Anna and Tamerson Carlisle, Dec 3, 1908

Buchanan Mich
Dec 3 - 1908

Daniel, Your letter received. That must e a fine country (for hunters) quite a veriety of game to hunt for shurly. was it a wild turkey you had for thanksgiving. you fared better than we did never theless we had a very good dinner. You do not need an alarm clock if there is such a managerie to wake you in the morning.

It is getting quite cold here

page 2

now the ground frozen hard every body goes bundled up as though it was cold but there is no snow only just odd flakes floating in the air. The dogs ares prospering but I have not been able to fill the little one up yet he is always ready to devour all he can get: what kind of dogs do you have to hunt with there. I have no news to write except that the cistern is nearly half full of water, which is quite new, and which we enjoy very much.

Tamerson will take this up when she goes. I have not time to write any more now.

Yours as ever.
A. Carlisle

There was also a note from Tamerson to Daniel, written on stationery from Binns Magnet store. She thanked Daniel for the cards he had sent her. She also had planned to go to South Bend but a lack of funds was keeping her home.

I wonder where Daniel was off to this time. The letter gives no clue.
